Ten Central Florida nonprofits are getting a chance to tell their stories, win some money, and hopefully find a few new supporters along the way. The Victory Cup Initiative, a Winter Park-based nonprofit founded in 2015, has announced its 2027 finalists, selecting 10 organizations from 186 applications across four counties. But Victory Cup isn t your typical awards program. Founded by Ashley Vann, the organization helps nonprofits learn how to tell their stories in ways that inspire people to get involved. Finalists receive professional coaching before delivering a two-and-a-half-minute pitch to potential donors, business leaders, and community supporters. Since launching, Victory Cup has helped distribute millions of dollars to local nonprofits, including more than $500,000 at its 2026 event. The funding is unrestricted, meaning recipients can use it where they need it most. This year s finalists include several familiar names from our coverage area: CrossTown M
