There have been new developments in the case of a Florida woman who disappeared 15 years ago.State Attorney Monique Worrell has officially filed second-degree murder charges against Dale Smith Jr. in connection with the disappearance and suspected killing of his former fiancée, Michelle Parker.The charging documents were filed on Tuesday, and allege Smith killed Parker on or about Nov. 17, 2011.Smith was arrested last month. Parker’s body has never been found.Investigators say advances in technology helped detectives recover more than 1,000 text messages exchanged between Smith and Parker before she disappeared.The recovered messages are among the new developments in the long-running investigation.Smith remains in jail as the case moves forward.Click here to download our free news, weather and smart TV apps.
