District 1 Baudette area Last updated: 2026-10-19 CO Ben Huener (Roseau) responded to various calls throughout Roseau County, including deer-hunting trespass and a road-killed buck being possessed without a permit. CO Nick Bruesewitz (Karlstad) reports checking area waterfowl hunters. They were having good success. Anglers fishing on the Red Lake River were checked. Nuisance-animal calls were handled throughout the week. CO Tony Hams (Warroad North) spent the week checking area small-game and youth deer season hunters, monitoring local ATV traffic, and following up with various complaints. CO Coby Fontes (Warroad South) spent the week monitoring deer- and grouse-hunting activities. Enforcement action was taken for operating an ATV with passengers under 18 not wearing helmets.
